Self-Centered Entitled Behavior
Entitlement and self-centeredness seem to be becoming more prevalent in our society today. Jesus told us people would be lovers of themselves in the last days.
Imagine having a group of people work hard for months learning pieces of music for a concert, then the day of the concert finally arrives, and people come and pay money to listen to the music but in comes a group of individuals who disrupt that concert the entire length of it.
A normal person would think that kind of behavior was rude and disrespectful, maybe thinking that perhaps the group of people should really think about others instead of themselves.
An entitled person unfortunately does not have that mind set. They do not think their actions have consequences or put anyone else’s needs before their own.
When we stop thinking about others and only think of ourselves we fall into Satan’s trap. He loves self-centered people, they’re easy to manipulate because they think they are above it all.
Putting our thought processes on Jesus and His will is the only way to over come the entitlement.
We have to think about others as Jesus thinks about us. If it wasn’t for His sacrifice where would we be?
Jesus put our needs before His own. We too need to think of others needs, wants and interests before our own, it will help make us closer to Jesus in our own relationship with Him, because it will help us appreciate exactly all He has done for us.
Once we place Christ first and foremost in our lives everything else will fall into place after.
And always remember you have a direct line to Him anytime of the day, no middleman required.
